This invention merges analog and digital elements to create an immersive art installation that responds dynamically to human interaction. It draws from the chameleon’s ability to change colors based on stimuli and the mandalas' symmetry and meditative quality.
Material Catagories and their roles
Analog Materials
Paintings, crochet, and collages: Handcrafted mandalas will serve as physical components, offering a visual base for digital projections.
Digital Technologies
Projection-Mapping with MadMapper: Digital mandalas will be coded and animated using p5.js and mapped onto analog surfaces like the crochet chameleon and mandalas, creating an interplay between the physical and digital.
Brain Sensors: EEG brain sensors will use participants' neural data to influence the shifting color change. For example, relaxation could lighten colors, while heightened activity could make patterns pulse or shift faster.
Audio Integration: Subtle, meditative soundscapes triggered by brainwave patterns could enhance the sensory experience, reinforcing the installation’s calming, reflective nature.
